Operator License Fees

Acceptable Forms of Payment at DMV office locations.

Type	Fee	Duration
New Issue Regular (Non-Commercial) (in addition customers will pay a $40 examination fee.)	Variable ($66 or $77).	Issued for 5 1/2 to 7 years to expire on operator’s birthday. Exact duration of first license depends on the date of issuance and the operator’s particular date of birth.
New Issue Commercial Drivers License (CDL)	Variable ($60 or $75).	Issued for 3 1/2 to 5 years to expire on operator’s birthday. Exact duration of first license depends on the date of issuance and the operator’s particular date of birth.
Duplicate License Fee	$30	Expiration date does not change.
License Exam Fee	$40
Learner's Permit (Class 2)	$18
Duplicate Learner's Permit (replacement)	$18
Non-Driver Identification Card (new, replacement or renewal)	$22.50	New - Issued for 6years to expire on operator’s birthday. Exact duration of ID depends on the date of issuance and the operator’s particular date of birth. Replacement - same Renewal - 6 years
Motorcycle Training Permit	$15
Endorsement on License for Public Passenger Transportation	$12	Per year
Commercial Driver's License Knowledge Test	$16 This fee is waived if the operator is a school bus driver and presents a letter of employment from a school bus company.
Commercial Driver's License Skills Test	$30 This fee is waived if the operator is a school bus driver and presents a letter of employment from a school bus company.
Commercial Driver's License Endorsements	$5 each
